Colorado Enacts Medicaid Rate Cut of $30 Million, but Gains $5 Million in Provider Fraud Recoveries

The state is also aggressively pursuing Medicaid fraud, and on June 30, 2009, Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced that the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit recovered more than $5.3 million from Medicaid fraud settlements and restitution during the fiscal year 2008-2009.
