Two Massachusetts Mental Health Agencies Agree To Pay $1,172,254 To Resolve Claims of Overbilling Medicare and Medicaid

OPEN MINDS On-Line News West Central Family and Counseling, Ltd., (WCF) a mental health clinic in Chicopee, Massachusetts, has agreed to pay the U. S. government $850,000 to settle allegations that it overbilled Medicare for mental health services provided to nursing home residents; and Center For Living and Working, Inc. (CLW), a Worcester, Massachusetts-based independent living center, has agreed to reimburse the MassachusettsÂ’ Medicaid Program more than $300,000 in a civil settlement.
