CIGNA Evaluating Second Life Virtual Health Care Community Pilot

The pilot was announced in July 2008 and actually launched later in the year. It provided seminars, interactive displays, educational games, and virtual health consultations to help participants learn and retain health messages about nutrition. By expanding into Second Life, CIGNA anticipated reaching a new group of consumers that might not respond to health education messages delivered through more traditional channels.
