UnitedHealth Group to Integrate ConnectedCare Telehealth Network Into its Health Plans for Employers & State Medicaid Programs

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News UnitedHealth Group plans to integrate its recently launched ConnectedCare telehealth network into health plans that it administers for employers, state Medicaid programs, and other customers. Jointly operated with Cisco, the ConnectedCare initiative features Cisco’s HealthPresence technology that uses video, audio, and medical information to create an experience similar to an in-person visit with a physician. Six ConnectedCare programs will launch in the next 12 months; one will focus on behavioral health.
