Aetna Reports Promising Early Results for Intel Health Guide Telehealth Program for Chronic Heart Failure
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News In June 2010, Aetna, Inc., and Intel released preliminary findings of a six-month clinical trial to determine the power of remote monitoring, via the Intel Health Guide device, to reduce hospital admissions for plan members diagnosed with chronic heart failure (CHF). The results included instances of early interventions where patients were able to avoid hospitalization and evidence of improved treatment adherence from both clinicians and patients.
