Humana Planning Telehealth Pilot for Chronic Heart Failure

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News The Humana Cares chronic care management division of health insurer, Humana Inc. has been planning a telehealth pilot program for its members with chronic heart failure (CHF). The program is expected to combine wireless vital sign monitoring via a home-based device that also enables the participants to have videoconferences with nurses. The pilot builds on an existing telephonic chronic care management program and is expected to start in January 2011.
