Study Ranks Medicaid Services for Persons With Intellectual Disabilities—Vermont Tops List; Mississippi Falls Short

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Hot News In a national review of Medicaid-funded community-based programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Vermont’s Medicaid program received the highest overall ranking and Mississippi received the lowest ranking. Arizona, Alaska, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, California, Hawaii, Colorado, and Connecticut were ranked second through tenth respectively. The bottom ten with the worst rankings for their Medicaid community-based programs for people with disabilities were: Indiana, Tennessee, Nebraska, Ohio, Louisiana, Illinois, the District of Columbia, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
