Florida Project Successful in Keeping Youth Away From Crime
OPEN MINDS On-Line News The Florida program, "Project Back-on-Track" (BOT) has been effective at preventing troubled youth from engaging in delinquent activities, researchers report. Dr. Wade C. Myers of the University of Florida in Gainesville and colleagues examined the results of a Florida-based program called "Project Back-on-Track" (BOT) and found that three out of four youth completed the BOT program and were less likely to commit crimes in the one-year period following treatment. The study examined 41 girls and boys ages nine to 17 who were referred to the program after court conviction . . .
