CIGNA & Piedmont Physicians Group Launch Accountable Care Organization Pilot
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News On September 7, 2010, CIGNA and Atlanta-based Piedmont Physicians Group (PPG) announced they had launched an accountable care organization (ACO) pilot in July 2010. The program, which began July 1, is focused on approximately 10,000 individuals covered by a CIGNA health plan who receive care from one of PPGÂ’s more than 100 primary care physicians.
