OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News Public release of hospitalsÂ’ cardiac quality-of-care baseline report cards failed to result in significant systemwide improvement in a follow-up review, compared to hospitals that received their cardiac quality-of-care baseline report 18 months later without publicity. Determining 'system-wide improvement' for both groups of hospitals was based on 12 process-of-care indicators for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and six for congestive heart failure (CHF).
