Georgia Halts Admissions at Central State Hospital
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Mental Health & Chemical Dependency Services The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Disabilities (DBHDD) halted admissions at Central State Hospital, its largest psychiatric hospital after a federal U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) inspection found problems with patient violence, dangerous conditions, and inadequate mental health treatment.
