Medicaid Enrollments Up By Five Percent in First Half of 2009
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News Medicaid enrollments increased more than five percent in 25 states from January to July 2009. The increased enrollment totaled about two million more people, which brought national Medicaid enrollment to more than 52 million. However, many of the new enrollees are in states such as Florida or Michigan that control some or all pharmacy purchasing. These are findings of a report titled “Managed Market Surveyor-Rx” by HealthLeaders-InterStudy.
