North Dakota Medicaid to Launch Autism Services Waiver
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services On November 19, 2010, the North Dakota Department of Human Services (DHS) said the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services had approved a new three-year Medicaid waiver to offer services to children diagnosed with conditions on the autism spectrum. The waiver will serve up to 30 children, birth through age four, per waiver year. The waiver will enable the state to provide evaluation services, interventions and training for parents, and funding for environmental modifications or equipment.
