Share OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire – Strategic Health Care News The federal Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) have begun developing rules for the Medicare Hospital Value-Based Purchasing (HVBP) provision of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA). The provision permits Medicare to pay hospitals on the basis of value starting October 1, 2012.
