Health Care Consumers’ Number One Priority Is Affordability
The number one concern about health care among consumers is affordability. 72% of retail consumers (defined as those under the age of 65 who are uninsured, have individual coverage, or small group employer-based coverage) reported that affordability was their number one concern, while 16% reported quality was their number one concern, and 9% reported access as a concern. Among non-retail consumers (defined as those under the age of 65 who are covered by Medicare or a medium to lage employer-sponsored coverage), 48% reported affordability as their number one concern, while 25% reported access and 22% reported quality . . .
