New Mexico Human Services Department Selects Medicaid Centennial Care MCOs

On February 8, 2013, the New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD) announced it had selected four Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) for its new Centennial Care Medicaid program which launches January 1, 2014. The four contractors are UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Mexico; Blue Cross Blue Shield New Mexico; Molina Health Care of New Mexico, Inc.; and Presbyterian Health Plan, Inc. The four MCOs will enroll about 700,000 New Mexico Medicaid beneficiaries, which includes about 40,000 individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, and about 170,000 individuals in the Medicaid expansion population.
