NQF Endorses Health Care Resource Use Measures for Primary Care, Diabetes, & Cardiovascular Care Costs

On January 31, 2012, the National Quality Forum (NQF) approved four measures that will help standardize the cost of care for diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and primary care. The measures enable comparison of actual dollars or standardized units of resources applied to the care given to a specific population or event, diagnosis, or procedure.
