New York Medicaid Redesign Team Recommends 79 Initiatives to Restructure State Medicaid, Reduce Spending
On February 24, 2011, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo accepted a draft recommendations report with 79 restructuring initiatives proposed by the state’s Medicaid Redesign Team that will cap the state’s Medicaid expenditures at $15 billion. The Medicaid Redesign Team was formed on January 5, 2011; the team members were appointed January 7. Since the team started work, it has received more than 4,500 proposals.
