I/DD HCBS Waiver Spending Grows 10% – From $25 Billion In 2009 To $27 Billion In 2011
Between 2009 and 2011, state and federal spending on Medicaid waiver home- and community-based services (HCBS) for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) increased by 10.7%, from $25.1 billion in 2009 to $27.8 billion in 2011. During the same period, the number of people receiving services increased by 9.5%, from 572,493 in 2009 to 627,270 in 2011.
