2/3 Of Employers Interested In ACOs As Cost Control
About two-thirds of American employers are interested in exploring potential cost savings available through Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). According to a recent survey, of those interested employers, 28% are interested or very interested in exploring ACOs, and another 37% are somewhat interested. These are findings of “2011 Employer Driven Accountable Care Organizations Survey Report” by Aon Hewitt in partnership with Polakoff Boland. The researchers surveyed 674 U.S.-based employers about their interest in ACOs and how they viewed various aspects of ACO structure.
