President’s Fiscal Year 2014 Budget Includes $100 Million To Launch The BRAIN Initiative

President Obama’s proposed budget for 2014 includes funding of approximately $100 million to launch the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative. The public/private initiative will support development and application of technologies to show how individual brain cells and complex neural circuits interact to explore how the brain records, processes, uses, stores, and retrieves information, and shed light on the complex links between brain function and behavior.
