Vermont Is First State To Post Health Insurance Exchange Rates

On April 1, 2013, Vermont released rates for health plans to be available through the state’s health insurance exchange, Vermont Health Connect; it is the first state to release its rates. Rate filings were submitted by BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont (BCBSV) and MVP Health Plan. In October 2013, Vermont Health Connect will open for uninsured or self-insured state residents and those who are Medicaid beneficiaries to enroll in health coverage that will take effect in January 2014.
