Walgreens Expands Take Care Retail Clinics Service Line To Launch Chronic Condition Assessment, Treatment & Management

On April 4, 2013, Walgreens announced that its retail pharmacy-based Take Care Clinics are expanding the scope of the health care services that are offered to include assessment, treatment, and management for chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma and others, as well as additional preventive health services. In addition to chronic condition management services, Take Care Clinics can evaluate, recommend, and order preventive health services, such as screenings or lab tests, based on a patient’s age, gender, and family history.
