New Florida Legislation Shifts More Medicaid Costs To Counties
On March 28, 2012, Florida Governor Rick Scott signed legislation that revises the state’s methodology for determining and collecting a county’s Medicaid contribution, and forces the counties to pay up to $325.5 million in disputed past-due Medicaid bills by 2017.
