Private Insurer Health Care Claims Costs Will Rise 32% By 2017 Due To Newly Insured Under Affordable Care Act
By 2017, newly insured individuals who would otherwise have been uninsured without the provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) are expected to contribute to a 32% rise in private insurer health care claims costs. Without the PPACA, an estimated 52.4 million individuals would be uninsured; of those 32.4 million will obtain coverage if all provisions of the PPACA are fully implemented in 2014.
