North Carolina Planning To Integrate Medicaid Medical, Behavioral & Dental Services Through MCO Contracts

On April 3, 2013, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory unveiled a plan to reorganize how Medicaid services are delivered by contracting with select large managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide integrated medical, behavioral health, dental and other Medicaid services.
