Virginia Delays Medicaid Managed Care Expansion

The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance (DMAS) is delaying a planned expansion of Medicaid managed care into the Roanoke and Alleghany regions of the state until January 1, 2012. Before the 2011-2013 biennial budget bill was passed, DMAS had a go-live date of July 2011 for the two regions.
