UPMC to Test ‘Virtual Exam Room’ Telemedicine Platform

Share The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is planning to test a “virtual exam room,” a telemedicine platform that allows patients to be seen by multiple physicians at once, in real time. The technology is being developed through a partnership between UPMC and Alcatel-Lucent as part of a broader relationship between the two organizations that was established in 2006.
