Medicare Releases $75 Million for First EHR Incentive Program Payments
Share On May 19, 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare EHR Incentive Program issued $75 million in the first meaningful use payments to 320 eligible professionals, hospitals, and critical access hospitals. The payments went to eligible professionals and hospitals that signed up in the first two weeks of the program and attested to meaningful use of a certified electronic health record (EHR) technology for a continuous 90-day period.
