Idaho Sued Over Developmental Disability Waiver Services Budget Change, Class Action Status Sought

A group of 13 Idaho residents with developmental disabilities are suing the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) over a change to how the state calculates Medicaid waiver service budgets and notifies beneficiaries. The group of plaintiffs filed their complaint in 2012; in May 2013, they filed a motion seeking class action status for the complaint. The plaintiffs seek to force IDHW to restore service budgets to the 2011 level.
