39% of Addiction Treatment Facilities Accepted Medicaid in 2009

Share Only 39% of addiction treatment facilities in the United States accepted Medicaid patients in 2009 (4,999 of the 12,700 total U.S. facilities). Of the total 12,700 facilities, 7,833 accepted publically funded patients, including Medicaid patients, in 2009. Across the states, a median of 71.3% of addiction treatment provider organizations accepted Medicaid patients.
