Massachusetts Signs Contracts With Three Managed Care Organizations For Duals Demonstration

On July 16, 2013, MassHealth and Medicare announced that Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA), Fallon Total Care (FTC), and Network Health signed contracts to become integrated care organizations (ICOs) for One Care: MassHealth plus Medicare, the Massachusetts demonstration project to integrate care for people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. One Care will provide integrated health care to about 110,000 individuals aged 21 to 64 years; the ICOs will receive a capitated rate to provide all Medicare and Medicaid services, including long-term care and behavioral health.
