Serco Awarded $1.2 Billion Contract To Administer Health Care Marketplace & Application Analysis
On July 3, 2013, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced it had awarded Serco, Inc. a contract to handle analysis of applications to the federally operated health insurance marketplace. The contract has one base year followed by four optional extension years; if it runs for all five years, the contract is valued at $1.2 billion.
