55% Of ACOs Use Remote Patient Monitoring Technology
A survey of about 100 health care provider organizations participating in or preparing to participate in an accountable care organization (ACO) or ACO-like risk-based arrangement found that about 55% have deployed remote patient monitoring (RPM) technologies in pilots or programs as an early symptom management tool with patients with chronic illnesses who are at high risk of emergency department use and hospitalization.
