New Financial Penalties Proposed For Non-Compliant Medicare Home Health Providers
Medicare home health provider organizations found to be out of compliance with new Medicare conditions of participation will be at risk of incurring civil monetary penalties of up to $10,000 per day, according to a proposed rule for the Home Health prospective payment system rate update. Compliance issues that are the focus of the proposed rule include those related to patient safety, patient outcomes, and documentation.
