Louisiana Awards Nearly $100 Million In Contracts For Community Learning Center Services

On July 1, 2013 Louisiana Department of Education awarded 59 three-year contracts to provide 21st Century Community Learning Center services; the aggregate contract value is nearly $100 million. The contracts run from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016. The contractors will provide activities that support high-quality expanded learning time during an expanded school day, week, year, or after-school. The contract awards ranged in size from the largest at $2.4 million to Belle Chasse Academy at the Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chasse and $2.4 million to New Orleans College Prep Academies . . .
