Anthem Blue Cross & Individual Practice Association Announce Plans To Form Accountable Care Organization in Northern California

On August 10, 2011, Anthem Blue Cross and Individual Practice Association Medical Group of Santa Clara County Inc. (SCCIPA) announced plans to form an accountable care organization (ACO) for Anthem’s preferred provider organization members in Northern California. The ACO is slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2011.
