Mercer Projects No Drop In Employer-Sponsored Health Benefits Due To U.S. Health Care Reform
An employer survey conducted by Mercer found that employer-sponsored health care coverage expanded in 2010 and that employers are planning to continue to offer health benefits; no plans for large drops in coverage were detected. The expansion in 2010 was attributed to the addition of the adult children up to age 26 under their parents’ coverage, as mandated by last year's health care reform legislation, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA).
