New Medical Home Evaluation Studies Show Reduced Costs & Improved Outcomes

In July 2013, the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative updated its list of medical home cost and quality results to include four new outcome reports from the Veterans Health Administration, CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield, BlueCross BlueShield of Michigan, and EmblemHealth in New York. The four initiatives resulted in cost savings and fewer inpatient and emergency department admissions.
