CMS Renews Indiana Medicaid Waiver For Healthy Indiana Plan
On September 3, 2013, the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) announced that the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) had renewed the state’s Medicaid waiver for the Healthy Indiana Plan, an alternative benefit plan for low-income, uninsured adults not otherwise eligible for Medicaid. Under the one-year waiver renewal, through 2014 the Healthy Indiana Plan will serve adults earning less than 100% of the federal poverty level (FPL); the income limit was 200% FPL.
