Michigan Submits Dual Eligible Proposal To CMS With Integrated Care Organizations & Prepaid Behavioral Health Plans

On August 30, 2012, the Michigan Department of Community Health (DCH) submitted clarifications to its proposal to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for an integrated care demonstration for people dually eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. The proposal described Care Bridge, its new model of services and supports coordination that calls for the state Medicaid program and CMS to contract with Integrated Care Organizations (ICO) and prepaid behavioral health plans.
