22% Of Large U.S. Employers Plan To Only Offer A Consumer Directed Health Plan In 2014
For their 2014 employee health benefits, 22% of large employers in the United States plan to offer workers a consumer directed health plan (CDHP) as the only health plan option. In 2013, 19% of employers offered a CDHP as the only option. A survey of large employers found that about 72% of employers offer at least one CDHP option; this penetration rate has remained steady over the last few years.
