CMS Predicts U.S. Health Care Spending Will Increase By 6.1% In 2014
Health care spending in the United States during 2014 is projected to increase to $3.1 billion, about 6.1% over the 2013 estimated spending of $2.9 billion. The key growth driver will be enrollment of about 11 million previously uninsured Americans into health insurance coverage plans through Medicaid or the Health Insurance Marketplaces.
