Median 2014 Monthly Premium Price For Health Insurance On Exchanges Is $328

The national median 2014 monthly premium is $328 for the second lowest cost Silver Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) sold through state or federally operated Health Insurance Marketplaces in 48 states. Data were not available for Hawaii, Kentucky, and Massachusetts. Across the 48 states for which data was available, the average monthly premium weighted to account for population age for the second lowest cost Silver QHP was also $328.
