Bipartisan Policy Center Report Identifies 13 Key Cost Drivers In U.S. Health Care Market
Health care cost growth in the United States is a factor of 13 distinct cost drivers, according to an analysis by researchers with the Bipartisan Policy Center. The researchers released the list of health care cost drivers they have identified during a larger project focused on developing recommendations for health care cost containment. Some of the 13 cost drivers can be controlled by federal and state policy on taxation of employer sponsored health benefits, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policies.
