Oklahoma Medical Board Sanctions Physician For Violating Telemedicine Policies

On September 12, 2013, the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (Medical Board) sanctioned a physician for multiple violations of the state’s telemedicine policies; the physician conducted videoconferences via Skype and prescribing controlled substances to psychiatric patients without an initial in-person visit.
