5.3% Fewer Medicare Advantage Plans In 2014
The total number of Medicare Advantage plans will decline 5.3% next year, from 2,664 in 2013 to 2,522 in 2014. The number of Special Needs Plans (SNPs) will decrease by 13%, from 625 in 2013 to 544 in 2014. The number of chronic condition SNPs will drop by 30% in 2014.
