U.S. Healthcare Performance Scorecard Ranking Still in the 60% Level
The U.S. health care system ranked 64 out of 100 on an evaluation of national health care system performance by the Commonwealth Fund. The United States has ranked consistently in the 60th percentile in the previous two evaluation cycles, with a 65% score in 2008 and a 67% score in 2006. These are findings of a report, “Why Not the Best? Results from the National Scorecard on U.S. Health System Performance, 2011,” released by the Commonwealth Fund.
