Employer-Based Insurance Coverage Decreases, Government-Sponsored Plans Increase
Health insurance coverage in the United States continues to change as evident in the decrease in employer-based insurance coverage and increase in government-sponsored plan coverage. The percentage of American adults who get their health insurance from an employer decreased from 49.8% in 2008 to 44.5% in 2011.
