Cerner Acquires Anasazi To Enter Behavioral Health EHR Market
On November 8, 2012, Kansas City-based Cerner Corporation agreed to acquire behavioral health technology provider Anasazi Software Inc. After the acquisition, Cerner plans to combine its Millennium(R) electronic health record system (EHR) with Anasazi’s community behavioral health EHR system. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of November; financial terms of the acquisition were not publicly disclosed. Anasazi co-founder and chief executive officer, Mike Morris, will continue to run Anasazi’s operations at its current location in Tempe, Arizona with its current workforce.
